Expert Mini Cooper Service in Saint John, NB.
Minis are wonderful little cars — with a couple of well-known weak points. We know which ones, when they happen, and how to fix them right. R56, F56, Countryman, JCW — all welcome.
Common Mini services we perform.
If your car needs something not listed here, we almost certainly do that too — just ask.
Timing Chain & Tensioner
The notorious N12/N14/N18 timing chain rattle — we replace the chain, guides, and tensioner as a job, not piecemeal, so it stays fixed.
Water Pump & Thermostat
Electric water pump failures and stuck thermostats are common. We use OEM parts and bleed the cooling system properly to avoid air locks.
Clutch Replacement
Manual Cooper S clutches eventually wear. We do clutch jobs with the proper alignment tool and pilot bearing replacement included.
Oil Leaks
Valve cover, oil filter housing, and rear main — the usual suspects on Minis. We diagnose precisely so you don't pay to repair the wrong gasket.
Carbon Cleaning (Direct Injection)
N14/N18 direct-injection engines build up intake valve carbon over time. Walnut blasting restores power and smoothness.
Brake & Suspension
Pads, rotors, control arms, sway bar links — all done with parts that match factory feel.
Cooper S Boost & Performance
Boost leaks, charge pipe failures, diverter valves — we know JCW and Cooper S forced-induction quirks.
Maintenance & CBS Reset
Approved oils, OEM filters, condition-based service reset. Stamped service record for resale.
Coding & Diagnostics
Mini sister-platform to BMW — same ISTA software, same module coding capability.
Mini specialists — not generalists with a scan tool.
Minis are charming, small, and packed with personality — but they need a shop that has seen the same recurring issues a hundred times. We have. Whether yours is daily-driven or weekend-only, we treat it the way an enthusiast would.

Mini service questions, answered.
My R56 has the timing chain rattle — is it serious?
Yes. Left long enough, the chain can skip and cause major engine damage. If you hear a rattle on cold start that lasts more than a second or two, get it looked at.
Do you do walnut blasting for direct-injection carbon buildup?
Yes. It's the only proper way to clean intake valves on direct-injection engines like the N14/N18.
Can you service the Cooper Countryman ALL4 driveline?
Yes. Transfer case fluid, rear differential service, and PTU work are all part of what we do.
Is Mini service cheaper than BMW service?
Generally yes — smaller engines, less expensive parts, and tighter packaging. But the diagnostic and tooling requirements are essentially identical.
